A new clip from The Walking Dead Season 8 premiere has been released, centering around Morgan, Daryl, Carol, and Tara's mission.

With the All Out War story being fulfilled when the AMC series returns, it appears the party of four is on a mission to move a massive herd of zombies. Based on Tara's, "pleasure doing business with you," line, it appears their mission has been achieved.

Of course, the clip wouldn't be complete if Carol and Daryl didn't have a touching moment as they prepare for battle. During a tight hug between the two, there are a few words exchanged.

"Be careful," Carol tells him.

"This is gonna be fun," Daryl sarcastically replies. Carol deadpans her response.

"No it isn't," Carol said, likely having the people who are going to have to die in mind.

"It's better than letting things be, though," Daryl tells her. "Right?"

Carol agrees just before the clip comes to an end.

Episode 8x01 is titled, "Mercy." The official synopsis for Mercy reads, "Rick and his group, along with the Kingdom and Hilltop, have banded together to bring the fight to Negan and the Saviors." Heading into the new season, fans are more than ready for the beloved All Out War story from the comics to be adapted for television.

"There's some great stuff coming up. Not a ton in the first episode because we're setting the stage for our war where we left at the end of last year," executive producer Greg Nicotero said. 'The first episode has a lot of interesting nods to previous seasons. If you watch it and you know the show pretty well, you'll recognize them -- as much as me shooting shot for shot a sequence that was in an earlier episode."

The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 pm ET on AMC. For complete coverage and insider info all season long, follow @BrandonDavisBD on Twitter.
