AMC has released a preview for the second episode of season 8, "The Damned," which might see the return of a familiar character.
As revealed by the official synopsis, the plot against the Saviors thickens in episode 8x02: "The plan involving Alexandrians, Kingdommers and Hilltoppers unfolds; as Rick continues to fight, he encounters a familiar face."
Sunday's season 8 premiere, also the series' 100th episode, saw Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and co. unite to make their first strike on Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and the Sanctuary after Alexandria, the Hilltop and the Kingdom came to the mutual decision to get out from under the dominating boots of the Saviors and fight back.
Practically everyone — including Daryl (Norman Reedus), Maggie (Lauren Cohan), Ezekiel (Khary Payton), Jesus (Tom Payne) and more — participated in the surprise attack, which included Team Family shepherding a horde of Walkers towards the Saviors' compound with the use of explosive charges. The season opener also saw Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) accidentally left behind and trapped by the zombie swarm, leaving the padre in a precarious predicament.
Episode 8x01, "Mercy," raised a lot of questions and gave fans plenty to talk about, and the follow up episode looks to continue the trend.
The Walking Dead 8x02, "The Damned," airs Sunday, October 29 at 9/8c on AMC.
