Spoilers for The Walking Dead 8x06.

After sitting out most of the season from injuries sustained during the climactic Alexandria battle in the season 7 finale, Michonne and Rosita are finally back in action.

Despite Rick's orders to stay behind, Michonne and Rosita set out to see the indisposed Sanctuary with their own eyes. Enroute to the Sanctuary, the pair investigated a mysterious noise — only to discover two Saviors working on a plan to free up the walker horde currently pinning the Saviors in place.

Michonne opted for her katana while Rosita used a rocket launcher to dispose of her opponent, but the Saviors' much-needed tool — "the Fat Lady," a truck loaded up with speakers and blaring opera music — managed to get away. The plan was to use the speakers to lure away the walkers surrounding the Sanctuary — a plan that would have worked were it not for the timely intervention of Daryl and Tara, who are openly defying Rick's plan as the Alexandria leader is currently detained as prisoner of Jadis and the Scavengers.

8x06 also saw newcomer Siddiq (Avi Nash) — the latest character to make the jump from page to screen — be inducted into the group by Carl, even as some viewers are questioning his motives.

Daryl, Tara, Michonne and Rosita will continue their plot in 8x07, airing Sunday at 9/8c on AMC.
