'The Walking Dead' Is One Of The Top Shows Among People Of Faith

The Walking Dead is one of the most popular shows for people of faith.

In a new poll conducted by E-Poll Market Research, Americans ranging in age from 13 to 54 and identified themselves in previous polls as being "people of faith," named The Walking Dead as one of their most important appointment viewing series.

The Walking Dead ranked only behind Game of Thrones in a category of "make a special effort to watch" for people of faith. The AMC and HBO shows rank ahead of Sense8, AMC's Better Call Saul, Starz' Power, Freeform's Pretty Little Liars, Bravo's Top Chef, A&E's Nightwatch, Nashville and Netflix's The Crown, in that order.

The Walking Dead ranked third in the "one of my favorites" category, behind Game of Thrones and Nashville. Behind those top three are HGTV's Fixer Upper, BBC America's Doctor Who, the Discovery Channel's How It's Made, Sense8, Comedy Central's South Park, Top Chef and History's Vikings.

The Walking Dead also landed a ranking in the "miss a lot" category but didn't finish in the top three, with Game of Thrones being named the most missed show among people of faith.

In 2017, The Walking Dead was the most-watched show on cable among all adults age 18-49. To end 2017, the AMC zombie drama earned a 7.0 rating in the key 18-49 demographic and lands at the top of the ratings chat with only Sunday Night Football there to compete according to Nielsen's live-plus-7 stats. The Walking Dead hauled in 9.02 million viewers on average in the demo. Sunday Night Football averaged a 6.4 rating with 8.22 million viewers.
