The CW Sets Finale Dates for Arrow, The Flash, And More
The CW has released its spring/summer finale schedule, providing fans with an insight into when [...]
MAY 11
Riverdale wraps its freshman season on The CW on May 11, and audiences will absolutely learn who killed Jason Blossom that night.
The Archie Comics adaptation will also reportedly lay the groundwork for next season, and many have taken that to mean introducing the season-long big bad, said to be a name familiar to Archie Comics fans.
(Most folks are betting on the introduction of -- or at least an allusion to -- Sabrina the Teenage Witch, but it's hard to picture her as the bad guy.)
There's also the matter of another major character death this season -- teased by series stars KJ Apa (who plays Archie Andrews) and Luke Perry (who plays his father, Fred Andrews). Perry said that "it was too soon" for the character, but that s/he "deserved it," so let your speculation engines get revving on that one. That death might not actually happen in the finale -- they didn't specify -- but certainly whoever it is, their loss will be felt on May 11.
Riverdale airs Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

Supernatural closes up shop on its twelfth (!) season on May 18, closing out a season that's brought the boys back down to Earth just a tiny bit, dealing with the British Men of Letters, the Secret Service, and other more humanizing threats as opposed to the demons and monsters that have dominated recent seasons.
(Not that the demons and monsters weren't there, mind you.)
The veteran show is back for at least a season 13, so don't count out the Winchesters -- or new showrunners Andrew Dabb and Robert Singer -- yet.
Supernatural airs Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

Supergirl will end its second season on May 22 at 8 p.m., while an hour later, Jane the Virgin will wrap season 3.
Supergirl has been operating on a cosmic scale this season, and expect the finale to be just as big. Facing off against Daxamite queen Rhea and Cadmus, Kara will see the return of both Superman and Cat Grant -- and it's hard to know which of those two the series' fans are more excited about.
Expect some resolution here: what will become of Mon-El, whose mother has been trying to abduct him back to a royal life? What about Jeremiah Danvers, who has been morally gray all season long, torturing the wife and daughters who were only recently overjoyed to discover he was still alive, and longing to be reunited with him?
Possibly the most interesting question -- especially as season 3 is concerned -- is what, if anything, will come of all the clues about the Legion of Super-Heroes. Mon-El is hardly the only inkling we've had that the Legion might have a role to play in the series...and time is running out for that role to come into relief this season.
Supergirl airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, followed by Jane the Virgin at 9 p.m.

The final fate of Iris West will be determined as Barry Allen and Team Flash square off against Savitar in the season finale on May 23.
Expect a full complement of speedsters to face off against the "speed god" Savitar, including TV's original Flash (John Wesley Shipp) as Jay Garrick, the Flash of Earth-3.
There's a funeral scene that cast members were seen filming -- and there's some fear that Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) might not make it out of the season alive. That said, however dark things get on this show, there's always time travel to fix it.
...After all, that's never failed to work out in our favor, right Barry?
The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/Pt on The CW.

Oliver and company have their final showdown with Prometheus in the season 5 finale of Arrow, the show that kicked off The CW's DC Universe -- and they are not doing it alone on May 24 -- both because they'll have unexpected allies and because The 100 will also have a season finale that night.
Oliver will recruit Deathstroke (Manu Bennett) to his cause, as seen in the just-released sizzle reel for the season's last few episodes.
It's basically guaranteed there will be blood, so get out your scorecards and tally up the likelihood of your favorite character making it intact into season 6.
Meanwhile, it's a parade of guest stars leading up to the finale, with not only Bennett but Katie Cassidy and Madison McLaughlin returning, as well, guaranteeing that the showdown at Lian Yu will be a crowded and violent affair.
Arrow airs Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW. The 100 airs Wedneday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
prevnextJUNE 2017
June brings the end of the rest of the series, with iZombie wrapping on June 27 and marking the final new episode of regular-season CW programming.
Before that, Reign will wrap its season (and its series) on June 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, with fans on pins and needles as to whether Mary will lose her head (literally, not figuratively) by the time the season is out.
The Originals is an interesting animal: with The Vampire Diaries having just concluded, suddenly this spinoff is the sole remaining representative of one of The CW's most beloved franchises. While it's not yet clear whether the show will have life beyond this season or not, fans are going to be looking out for any signs of what's next for the characters. Not only are there the usual season finale things -- deaths, changes, additions -- but there's the extra added dimension of fans hoping that actors from The Vampire Diaries might show up as well. The Originals will airs its final episode on June 23 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
And then there's iZombie. The DC/Vertigo adaptation heads into its third year with a lot of speculation that it might not make a fourth -- but neither the showrunner nor the stars seem to feel that way, and ComicBook.com recently gave them a better-than-average shot at renewal in our look at the season's bubble shows.
The season finale will likely deal with the possibility of a war breaking out between the humans and zombies of Seattle; Fillmore Graves have been preparing for the moment when it all goes down for years, and this season it seems to be getting closer than ever. Will a world where zombies live openly be the big status quo change going in to a theoretical season 4...?
