As the first season of Riverdale begins to wind down and gets ready to reveal the identity of Jason Blossom's murderer, The CW released promotional photos for Episode 1x12, 'Chapter Twelve: Anatomy of a Murder.'
In the photos, it appears that the internet's favorite relationship (#Bughead) between Betty and Jughead continues to sail stormy seas as the group continues to uncover clues in regards to the true murderer of Jason.
It also looks as if Mary Andrews (Molly Ringwald) is still around — despite cast interviews suggesting she wouldn't be on the show for more than a week. We can also see the Cooper girls looking through the crime scene evidence Hal Cooper stole from Sheriff Keller earlier in the season.
The official synopsis for the episode — which airs Thursday, May 4 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern — is below.
Archie (KJ Apa) and Veronica (Camila Mendes) are shocked to learn of the arrest but know they need to come clean to their parents about what they uncovered. Still hurt by the betrayal of his friends and torn over who to trust, Jughead (Cole Sprouse) reluctantly joins them in a quest for truth. Meanwhile, Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) confronts her mom about why she treats her so much worse than she ever did with Jason.
Lili Reinhart, Luke Perry, Madchen Amick, Marisol Nichols also star. Rob Seidenglanz directed the episode written by Michael Grassi.
