Comedy Centrals 12am time shot will be looking for something new to fill a void. Chris Hardwick's long running comedy game/quiz show, @Midnight is coming to an end.

The show was moved up from it's original titular time slot of midnight to 11:30pm in August of last year due to the cancellation of The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore. Since then it's been shifted back to 12 with the premiere of the faux-Trump hosted "The President's Show."

Comedy Central seems committed to keeping the time after The Daily Show to interview style programs - "The President's Show" will be replaced during it's off season by the return of Jordan Klepper's Daily Show spin-off.

In an interview with Deadline Comedy Central President Kent Alterman said, "We are really focused on rebuilding 11:30 with Jordan Klepper and we will take it as it comes. It's not a given that this is real estate we will be spending resources on, but if and when we feel that it will be resources well spent, we like its potential, it's a opportunity down the road."

After a whopping 600 episodes the Funny Or Die produced show it seemed that the end of the show was a mutual decision of the producers, Hardwick and Comedy Central. Hardwick said in a statement to Deadline:

"@midnight has meant the world to me these last four years, it has been a dream to come to work 600 times to make inappropriate jokes about the Internet with my fellow comedian friends. I could not be more proud of this show, staff and crew and at the end of the day, I think we accomplished everything we wanted to accomplish. Spiritually it just feels like it ran its course — I'm not sure we had many more hashtag games in us (which may actually be a relief to anyone whose Twitter feed gets overrun every night).

"I owe such a huge debt of gratitude to Comedy Central and Kent for taking a chance on the show, always being great partners and allowing us to exit mutually, which is rarely a gift you are given in this business. I will certainly miss awarding POINTS! to people nightly, so please understand if you see me randomly shouting it at strangers in public after August 4th."

This of course doesn't leave Hardwick unemployed. Between commercials, being CEO of Nerdist and of course the ever expanding "Talking" franchise at AMC it's doubtful that you'll see Chris in the unemployment lines anytime soon.

@Midnight will air it's final episode August 4th.
