If you're wondering how Riverdale's newest addition will fit into the show, series star Lili Reinhart is right there with you.

In a recent interview with Teen Vogue, Reinhart was asked about the fan theories swirling around the arrival of Chic Cooper, Betty's long-lost brother (who, as of a few days ago, will be played by Hart Denton). And as she explained, she's not in the best position to confirm or deny the theories, because she doesn't know exactly how it's going to happen.

"A lot of them make sense, completely." Reinhart revealed. "I hate to just completely shut down these theories, because, I don't know. I'm not the executive producer, or writer of the show, but it is interesting to see the theories."

Chic boasts a rather colorful backstory in the pages of Archie Comics, with his infrequent appearances explained away by him being a secret agent for the US government. Over the past few months, many have wondered exactly how that will be adapted for Riverdale, or if his appearance will be something else altogether. (The running theory amongst the fandom, for a brief moment, was that Southside Serpent Joaquin was secretly Chic.)

With a lot of Chic's debut currently unknown, it makes sense that some fans would be asking Reinhart for info. But when it comes to the thematic elements of Chic's debut, she said that she's learning as she's going along.

"To be honest, I feel like I can't necessarily say with 100% certainty that a lot of theories aren't true." Reinhart explained. "We don't know until we get the script in our hands. And, we get the next script a couple days before we start shooting it. So, we're kind of on the same page as the fans a little bit. We find out one episode at a time."

Riverdale season two premieres Wednesday, October 11th, at 8/7c on The CW.
