The CW has released a clip from 'Triggers', the second episode of Supergirl's third season. You can check it out above.
The episode will see the Girl of Steel going up against Psi (Jane the Virgin's Yael Grobglas), a thief with the power of psychic manipulation. As the clip shows, it doesn't take much for Psi to use her powers on Kara Danvers/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist), causing J'onn J'onnz/Martian Manhunter (David Harewood) to remotely establish a psychic shield around Kara.
However, it quickly proves to be ineffective, as Psi sends J'onn collapsing to the ground.
Psi will bring a unique threat to National City, as she has the ability to tap into people's worst fears. Given Kara's lamenting for Mon-El (Chris Wood) in the season three premiere, as well as that mysterious face Samantha (Odette Annable) saw in the episode's closing minutes, that's sure to manifest in interesting ways.
"She's super cool, and she's a good match for Supergirl." Executive producer Robert Rovner said earlier this year. "It'll be interesting to see her going up against Kara."
Fans will get to see the two go head to head when 'Triggers' airs tonight at 8/7c, on The CW.
