WWE has seen many iconic superstars come through its doors, and it's inarguable that two names on that list are Dwayne The Rock Johnson and Hulk Hogan.

Both were iconic and defined the eras in which they wrestled in, with Hogan defining the WWF's early days in matches against legends like Andre The Giant, Macho Man Randy Savage, and The Ultimate Warrior. For The Rock, his brand of sarcasm and generally electrifying persona defined what made the attitude era so successful, and he also counted numerous matches with the likes of Mankind, The Undertaker, and Stone Cold Steve Austin as part of his resume.

So it's fitting that two stars of this current era of wrestling, Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins, would tip their hat a bit to these icons. The thing is it wasn't part of a new gimmick or the typical RAW skit that goes on way too long, but rather an impromptu tribute during a house show, which was caught on camera (via The SpOtLight).

Wrestlers typically interact with the crowd far more during live events than they do on television, and in a recent match, Kevin Owens slammed Seth Rollins to the mat. After getting up and glaring at the crowd a bit, Owens sprung towards the ropes, and hit Rollins with one of The Rock's patented moves "The People's Elbow". He went for a pin but Rollins kicked out.

Not to be outdone, Rollins took a few chops to the chest and started his own version of Hogan's infamous hulking up and pointing at his opponent routine, and then hit Owens with a big boot and then bounced off the ropes for a trademark Hogan leg drop.

It's this kind of spontaneity that motivates fans to show up at the live events, and the fact that it was two of WWE's premiere superstars was just icing on the cake. You can watch the whole video above.
