REVIEW: Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Coulson Funko Pop! Vinyl Bobblehead

We're getting excited for the return of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. tonight at 9|8c on ABC, even more so because the fine folks over at Funko Pop! Vinyl collectibles sent us Agent Phil Coulson. We give you a closer look at the man, the myth, the bobblehead.

The Funko Pop! Vinyl Agent Coulson bobblehead is standard in size and quality for Funko products. This is to say, the painting could have been a little more precise, but a few missed edges in no way detracts from the awesomeness that is this figure. Agent Coulson sports his signature shades, his tailored suit, neatly belted at the waist with a buckle that's been accented with metallic paint, a thoughtful detail to include.

Agent Coulson's outfit fits the aesthetic of the character we all know and love from the films and TV series, down to the striped tie and standard issue shoes. Upping the ante, Agent Coulson's name badge actually includes a scaled-down photo-likeness of Clark Gregg, a sharp detail that Funko got exactly right.

As far as bobbleheads go, Agent Coulson is an enthusiastic and willing participant in grooving along to ambient motion in his vicinity. Keep him on your desk and he'll nod to you all day long as you hammer out those top-secret S.H.I.E.L.D. e-mail memos (or update your tumblr). The figure is well-balanced, and it takes a considerable force to knock the Agent Coulson bobblehead over (not that he'd ever go down without a fight). The only thing that would make Agent Coulson a better addition to a fan's Funko Pop! Vinyl collection would be a Lola figurine to go along side him. But it's probably for the best. It would be hard not to play with her, and you know the rules about touching Lola.
