True Detective Season 2 Will Star Vince Vaughn And Colin Farrell, First Plot Details Revealed

HBO has announced that Vince Vaughan and Colin Farrell will star in the second season of the acclaimed television series, True Detective.

Farrell will play Ray Velcoro, a corrupt detective trying to serve two masters, his bosses in the equally corrupt police depart, and the mobster who has him under his thumb.

Vaughan will play Frank Semyon, a criminal who tries to go straight until his business partner is murdered.

Justin Lin (Fast & Furious) will direct the first two episodes of the season, which goes into production this fall

The series is still searching for a female lead for its second season, with actresses including Rosario Dawson, Jaimie Alexander, and Malin Akerman all rumored to be in contention.
