In addition to playing an original movie superhero in Hancock, Will Smith has also starred in a comic book movie franchise, which many fans probably don't realize is based on a comic book. Will Smith's most famous movie franchise is Men In Black, which has spawned three movies, an animated series, video games, an amusement park ride, and tons of toys. Men In Black is based on a comic book series originally published by Malibu and Marvel Comics.

Smith is also known for the TV series The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, and a host of other movies including Independence Day, Bad Boys, and I Am Legend. A Hancock sequel is also reportedly in the works.

Will Smith was born on September 25, 1968 in West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He turns 46 years old today.
