Constantine may not even make it to a second season, but a possible cancellation isn't stopping series star Matt Ryan from dreaming of DC Universe crossovers.

But Ryan, who plays John Constantine on the NBC series, isn't wishing for a crossover with the likes of Arrow or Gotham. No, Ryan's aiming high with DC's upcoming blockbuster Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice.

In a recent interview, Ryan was asked if Warner Bros. had any plans to cross their television properties into the DC Cinematic Universe, which is headlined by Batman, Superman, and the Justice League. Ryan, unsurprisingly, said he wasn't sure what Warner's plans were. But that didn't stop him from fantasizing about possibly teaming up with the Caped Crusader and Man of Steel.

"I'm not sure. The show's made by Warner Bros., which has the deal with DC, and it's licensed to NBC, so I don't know how the ins and outs of that work," Ryan told The Mirror. "But as an actor, how amazing would that be to do a crossover?"

Ryan's pretty on-track with the licensing complications. It seems unlikely that NBC, which rests outside the Warner Bros. family, would lend their version of Constantine into the DC Cinematic Universe. Plus, DC Chief Creative officer Geoff Johns indicated that DC's television and movie properties would remain in separate universes, as part of a live-action multiverse.

Still, how cool would it be to see some voodoo in Batman V. Superman? We all know how much Superman hates Magic…

Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 26, 2016.
