Actor and pop culture personality Bruce Campbell is set to host and produce a new geek-themed game show called "Last Fan Standing" for digital entertainment network CONtv.

Campbell, who's won the adoration of geeks with his turn as Ash from the Evil Dead/Army of Darkness film series, will test fans on their geek and pop culture knowledge in a quiz show format. Questions will range from the weight of Thor's hammer to how much damage the Vorpal blade would inflict on a 5th-Level Cleric (so says the show's official announcement).

Each episode will tape exclusively at Wizard World comic conventions, where Campbell will engage con-goers through a proprietary audience response system. After Campbell weeds out the top four pop culture buffs from the crowd, the finalists will compete against each other for the winning spot.

The show will begin taping at Wizard World New Orleans Comic-Con this Saturday, January 10th. Once enough episodes are taped, the show will premiere on CONtv later this year.

"We created 'LAST FAN STANDING' to celebrate the excitement and the fandom of each audience member, while providing them the chance to compete in a live game show," Steve Sellery, Pop Quiz Entertainment's CEO, said in a statement. "This truly is a unique and highly experiential platform that we trust will become a 'fan favorite' well into the future."

Fans can access the show through CONtv, a subscription-based digital entertainment platform that will cost $6.99 a month for access.
