It seems Laura Palmer and her ex-boyfriend Bobby Briggs are poised to return to Twin Peaks in spite of the notable handicap of Laura being dead.

The pair were captured in an Instagram video embedded at Welcome to Twin Peaks, with permission from creator and showrunner David Lynch.

Here's how they describe the scene:

David Lynch personally gave Sheryl Lee the green light to publicly announce her involvement in the new series at the most recent edition of the Twin Peaks UK Festival. In fact, the actress received his phone call on her way to the airport for her flight to London. "I just have a couple of minutes because a car is here to take me to the Twin Peaks Festival," Sheryl told David and he said: "Well, you tell them you are… and Dana is…"

You can check out the video below, in which it's implied that Sherilyn Fenn may return as well.

The pair last appeared together onscreen in an episode of Psych titled "Dual Spires," in which they played characters in a Twin Peaks-inspired town. A number of other Twin Peaks actors were there as well, including Ray Wise, who played Laura's father Leland Palmer. In the past, he's frequently said that he too has spoken with Lynch about the possibility of returning to Twin Peaks.

Twin Peaks returns on Showtime in 2016.
