Marvel Announces Unique Evolutions Of Howard The Duck Variant Covers By Chip Zdarsky

Hot off the success of the Ant-Man #1 shrinking variant, Marvel Comics has announced that Howard the Duck #1 will ship with a limited edition, unique "Evolutions of Howard" variant cover, drawn by Chip Zdarsky.

The variants will feature Howard during different stages of his life, from birth, to rebellious teen, to death, and back again. Like the Ant-Man shrinking variant, each individual cover will feature Howard at a different size, making each cover unique.

"The Ant-Man #1 Shrinking Variant was such a successful experiment, we knew we wanted to try it again right away," says Marvel SVP Sales & Marketing David Gabriel, via press release. "Each one of these variants is numbered and completely unique, showcasing a different Howard at a different size. Waugh!"

Howard the Duck #1 is Howard's new ongoing series, written Zdarsky and drawn by Joe Quinones. The issue goes on sale in March.
