Yesterday, 20th Century Fox gave director Neill Blomkamp the green light to make his Alien film that he has been teasing on his instagram. Wonderful news!

With it being so fresh, Jimmy Fallon, the host of The Tonight Show, asked his guest Sigourney Weaver a bit about it. She was there promoting her new movie Chappie, which was directed by Blomkamp. She didn't divulge any details, but she did soak in the crowds roar of enthusiasm at the possibility of seeing her as 'Ripley' again.

Oh, there was one fun nuggest that Weaver did share. Comedian and actor Louis C.K. spoke with her about the project the night before and apparently he was so jazzed about it that he asked if Weaver could get him a part in the film. His one request, that whoever he plays meets a horrible death. Sounds like lunch for a Xenomorph.

By the way, the news caught Blomkamp's attention as he recently tweeted a link to it. With it on his radar will he make it happen? We hope so.

Watch Weaver tell the tale in the video below.

via First Showing

Chappie arrives in theaters March 6th.
