Until now, there has never been an award strictly dedicated to honoring comic book movies.

This year, ComicBook.com launched the first ever Comic Movie Awards. The Comic Movie Awards are the culmination of an emerging genre, showcasing the highlights of excellent films, characters, and actors fans have come to know and hold dearly to the heart.

The Comic Movie Awards offer fans an opportunity to cast their vote on various characters in hopes of propelling their favorite scenes, heroes, and soundtracks toward receiving the award. 

The votes are in! Thousands of votes have been compiled through 10 categories over the past 5 weeks and we have our winners.  The nominees and winners of each category can be found below!

Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain America: The Winter Soldier tied with four awards each, but Guardians of the Galaxy was literally only ONE vote away from taking home a fifth in the Best Actor category.
