Remembering Frank Gorshin On His Birthday

Today is the late actor Frank Gorshin's Birthday.

A respected film and stage actor, Gorshin is best know for his breakout performance as The Riddler in the 1966 Batman television series. Starring alongside Adam West and Burt Ward, Gorshin's turn as the Prince of Puzzels earned him an Emmy Nomination. He would also play the character in the 1966 Batman film based off of the television series. 

Gorshin would move on to hold memorable roles in the General Hospital television series, the sci-fi film 12 Monkeys, and even voice-acted in the 20005 animated series The Batman as Professor Hugo Strange. Sadly, Gorshin passed away at the age of 72 in 2005. 

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Gorshin would have been 82 today. Happy Birthday, Frank Gorshin.
