The Wrap is reporting that Saban Brands has found the director they want to make their new Power Rangers film.

Dean Israelite, who director Paramount time-travel film Project Almanac, is said to be in negotiations to helm Lionsgate and Saban Films' Power Rangers movie.

POWER RANGERS - The new movie promises to completely re-envision the Rangers, a group of high school kids who are infused with unique and cool super powers but must harness and use those powers as a team if they have any hope of saving the world.

The screenplay was written by Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz. They were previously credited for their work on X:Men: First Class, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Fringe.
