Deadline is confirming that Phil Lord and Chris Miller are working on a treatment for The Flash movie, that will star Ezra Miller (Perks of Being a Wallflower). Jeff Sneider from The Wrap mentioned their names possibly being in the mix for The Flash almost a week ago.
They're developing the story for the film, but as of right now they are not attached to direct it. The dynamic duo directed WB's The Lego Movie, Sony's Jump Street films and the executive producers for Fox's television comedy Last Man On Earth.
The most intriguing part of this is that when Warner Bros. began planning their cinematic universe that would rival Marvel's I'm sure they never expected The Flash television series on CW, which stars Grant Gustin, to become such a huge hit. Amazing how we went from zero Flash to having two Flashes. Three, if we count the Reverse-Flash.
The Flash will get his first solo film March 23, 2018.
