These five actors could be your next Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, according to Jeff Sneider from The Wrap.

They've learned that Marvel and Sony has set their sights on Nat Wolff, Asa Butterfield, Tom Holland, Timothee Chalamet and Liam James.

Next week, Marvel and Sony will decide which actors will receive test offers and at the moment none of the five names above has an offer, but they are considered "strong contenders." The Wrap says "multiple sources have confirmed they are strong contenders who are definitely in the mix as of right now."

The Wrap also expects Sony-Marvel to decide on the next Spidey in "the next 2-3 weeks," but an official announcement might take longer due to negotiations.

Liam James, 18, is best known for playing the young Shawn Spencer on USA's Psych. Timothee Chalamet, 20, is a relative newcomer who is best known for playing the teenage version of Cooper's son Tom in Interstellar. Tom Holland, 18, starred in 2012 tsunami drama The Impossible. Asa Butterfield, 18, is the biggest name on the list and he is best known for starring in Ender's Game. Nat Wolff, 20, turned in a terrific performance as the broken-hearted, visually impaired Isaac in The Fault In Our Stars.

Marvel and Sony's new solo Spider-Man film will arrive July 28, 2017.
