When Man of Steel debuted in 2013, some criticized the film for the having visuals that were considered too bleak for a Superman movie, borrowing the look of Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy.
The folks at VideoLab wondering what it would look like if Man of Steel hadn't adopted that look, and kept the bright blue and red that make up Henry Cavill's physical Superman costume instead of toning it down in post-production.

Regardless of what may have been, it seems that Man of Steel's follow-up, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, is keeping the visual tone of its predecessor.
