New Poltergeist Clip Explains What The Family Is Up Against

20th Century Fox has released a new "What is a Poltergeist?" clip from their Sam Raimi-produced Poltergeist remake.

When a supernatural force has abducted the Bowens daughter Madison Bowen (Kennedi Clements), they call in a parapsychologist, played by Jane Adams ("Hung"). When she arrives she explains to them that they are being terrorized by a poltergeist, which is different from a run-of-the-mill ghost.

Legendary filmmaker Sam Raimi ("Spiderman," "Evil Dead", "The Grudge") and director Gil Kenan ("Monster House") contemporize the classic tale about a family whose suburban home is haunted by evil forces. When the terrifying apparitions escalate their attacks and hold the youngest daughter captive, the family must come together to rescue her before she disappears forever.
