On the Comic-Con International: San Diego 2015 edition of the Chris Gethard show, he didn't go around checking out the best cosplay, or tracking down celebrities on the floor to get the latest soundbite on their upcoming project. No, the comedian did something important: he started a petition to change the name of the capitol of the United States based on comic book fan allegiance.

In the video, Gethard goes around the convention floor in San Diego trying to get fans to sign a petition to change "Washington, DC to Washington, Marvel." The petition includes a slot for "Worst DC Character," to which some fans responded Suicide Squad standout Harley Quinn and arguably their biggest character of all, Batman.

Watch to the end for a hilarious moment with DC Comics writer/artist Neal Adams, where he takes Gethard's entire argument apart.

Want to sign the petition yourself? Gethard has put it online. There are a whopping 71 supporters at press time.
