Chewbacca Gets Arrested In The Ukraine

A man dressed as Chewbacca was arrested Sunday by Ukrainian police and fined the equivalent of $8 for violating local election laws, NBC reports.

The man was reportedly campaigning for a candidate who is running under the name Darth Vader.

This isn't the first bit of viral activism by under the banner of Star Wars; somebody also recently defaced a statue of Lenin, transforming it into Darth Vader rather than tearing it down when a new law banned communist symbols from being displayed publicly.

...Well, hopefully whoever he was voting for, their opponent is smart enough to know you always let the Wookiee win.
