Lionsgate is planning to build attractions in two new theme parks, one in the US and one in China, New York Times reports. The plan is to develop rides and attractions based upon The Hunger Games, and other properties under their purview.

Yes, that means roller coasters, as well as "other rides". Step Up, Divergent, and Now You See Me attractions are also being developed, including dance and magic shows. Twilight was also mentioned as a possibility for its theme park endeavors.

The plan is to license the properties, rather than building and operating them from within the company, similar to Warner Bros and their rides, character appearances, and attractions at Six Flags theme parks. In the US, they'll be going to Avatron Smart Park, a new theme park near Atlanta, GA that plans to open by 2019. In China, the plan is for an indoor theme park in Hengqin, China opening late 2018.

The current plans are for a roller coaster "designed to resemble the movies' high-speed Capitol trains" and a simulator ride that "will take people on a hovercraft tour of Panem." Here's hoping for a lasertag or paintball course, too, to really get into the heart of the movie.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, the final movie in the franchise, hits theaters November 20, 2015.
