Wizard World has announced that when fans come to New Orleans later this month, they'll be able to take home a one-weekend-only convention-exclusive cover to Marvel's Civil War #1.
Michael Golden has drawn the Civil War #1 variant cover to be provided free to all Captain America Platinum VIPs at Wizard World Comic Con New Orleans, January 8-10.
Golden, an acclaimed comics artist who has worked on dozens of characters, is a fan-favorite guest at Wizard's many conventions.
Captain America stars on the Wizard World Comic Con New Orleans celebrity roster are Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Hayley Atwell, Anthony Mackie , Frank Grillo, and directors Anthony and Joe Russo.
Civil War may dominate 2016 the way The Walking Dead #1 was the poster child for Wizard World variants in 2015, although the organizer hasn't made that official yet and it could just as easily be a variety of different books this year.
The first event on the 2016 Wizard World calendar, New Orleans show hours are Friday, January 8, 3-8 p.m.; Saturday, January 9, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sunday, January 10, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
