A lot of people saw Star Wars: The Force Awakens on Thursday night at Friday. The movie passed the previous December record before noon, leaving The Hobbit in its dust. Then, by 4pm EST, it had long since passed the overall day 1 record holder, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2, and had even passed the previously nigh-unthinkable $100 million one-day mark.

Now, with final numbers just released by Disney, the official new opening day record is $120.5 million, set by Star Wars: The Force Awakens on December 18, 2015. The record beat the previous mark by nearly 30 million dollars.

The Jurassic World opening weekend record set in June 2015 of $208.8 million is now virtually assured to be beat, and could even lose as early as Saturday evening, making Sunday icing on the cake for Star Wars.

If the movie can hit $250 million (or more accurately, $248.8 million), it would actually debut in the #6 spot for total domestic gross for the entire year of 2015. At that three-day gross, only Jurassic World, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Inside Out, Furious 7, and Minions, all of which debuted between April and July, will have made more money total than The Force Awakens this year.

It has also passed $250 million globally in its three days open in other markets, including the U.S.

That's using the Force.
