Radiohead's Unused James Bond Spectre Song Released

Over the decades, many well-known musicians have created songs in the hopes of it becoming the title track of a James Bond film. Alice Cooper, Johnny Cash, Debbie Harry and even Swedish pop band Ace Of Base submitted songs that were ultimately rejected by the Bond producers.

Some of those unused tracks have surfaced online, and today Radiohead shared their own. As a Christmas gift to fans, Thom Yorke, the lead singer and songwriter of English alternative rock band, uploaded his submission for Sam Mendes' Spectre.

"Last year we were asked to write a theme tune for the Bond movie Spectre," Yorke revealed on SoundCloud. "Yes we were. It didn't work out, but became something of our own, which we love very much. As the year closes we thought you might like to hear it. Merry Christmas. May the force be with you."

As you know, producers officially announced in September that Sam Smith's "Writing's on the Wall" was selected as the film's title theme. Despite mixed reviews, it became the first Bond theme to top the singles chart in the UK.
