Pikachu Cozies Up to Ketchup in New Japanese Contest
Japanese fans have a chance to win a special set of Pikachu themed prizes. Kagome, a Japanese food company specializing in tomato based product, has announced a new contest to win one of three items that combine Pikachu and ketchup. Prizes include a Pikachu ketchup blanket, a Pikachu shaped backback (the Pikachu is holding a ketchup bottle, of course) and a hug pillow shaped like a giant ketchup bottle with a sleeping Pikachu.In order to win one of the three prizes, participants only need to mail in a postcard found on Kagome's website. Kagome also released several Pokemon-themed recipes to promote the contest. Some of the food items include a Pikachu omelette and a Pikachu riceball made using seaweed, tomatoes and cheese.
This is Kagome's second time partnering with Pokemon. Last year, Kagome gave away Pikachu themed omelette plates, plushes and ketchup cap stoppers. Kagome also recently ran a promotion to celebrate Neon Genesis Evangelion's twentieth anniversary.
