This Police Officer's Act Of Kindness Changes The Game Forever

This Ohio police officer's sincere act of kindness for a total stranger is a truly heartwarming story.

Early on Sunday morning, a man from Indiana named Mark Ross found out that his teenage sister had been killed in a car accident. In his grief-stricken state, Ross jumped in the car with a friend and began heading towards Detroit just after 3 a.m.

As Ross was in a rush to get home to his devastated mother and family, a police officer in Troy, Ohio pulled him and his friend over for speeding.

When Trooper J. Davis pulled Ross's friend over, he learned that the driver had an outstanding warrant in addition to a suspended license. Davis was forced to take the driver into custody and have the man's car towed.

Ross was then left stranded with no way to make it to Detroit.

When Ohio State Highway Patrol Sergeant David Robinson arrived on the scene, Ross explained the situation. Touched by the heartbreaking moment, Robinson began praying over Ross and his family.

Robinson then did the unexpected and offered to drive Ross more than 100 miles to Detroit in order to be with his family.

Ross told Inside Edition, "It was just so overwhelming." He continued, "They were trying to help us."

Ross posted a picture on Facebook with Ohio State Highway Patrol Sergeant David Robinson to share the touching story.

The caption read: "At 3am I got a phone call stating that my sister had been killed in a car accident due to some young dumb punk! I haven't slept and instantly got on the road. Of course we were speeding, trying to get back to Detroit. And we got pulled over in Ohio. I knew I was going to Jail due to a petty warrant. The police called Wayne county and they refused to come get me because of the distance. I explained to the officer that my sister had died and that I needed to get to my mother asap. I broke down crying and he saw the sincerity in my cry. He REACHES OVER AND BEGAN PRAYING OVER ME AND MY FAMILY. He offered to bring me 100 miles further to Detroit because they towed the vehicle. Everybody knows how much I dislike Cops but I am truly Greatful for this Guy. He gave me hope."

Since posting on Facebook, the photo has already received over 90k shares with almost 500 likes.
