Suicide Squad Limited Edition Blu-Ray Steelbook Revealed

After it was revealed Wednesday that Suicide Squad would be getting an extended cut upon its home release, fans began jumping for joy.

When the film was released back in August, it was met with negative reviews from critics The majority of these critics sited the jumbled plot, choppy editing, and less-than-fluid storytelling as the main causes for the negativity.

Instead of disagreeing, many fans attributed this to the notion that the film's director, David Ayer wasn't given full control of the cut. Instead, DC executives altered his version of the film to match the upbeat tone from the trailers.

Immediately, calls began ringing out for Warner Bros to release the "real" cut of the film. Since it was confirmed that much of The Joker's role had been cut out, and fans who saw an early screening responded much more positively, everyone wanted to see what else the fim could offer.

Now that the Extended Edition of Suicide Squad has been confirmed, it's going to be a massive patience contest among fans, as everyone waits for the home release.

The front cover is wrapped with the photo used in many of the promotional posters for Suicide Squad, the psychadelic image of the characters wrapped in a question mark.

On the back cover, we see the official image of Belle Reve, the prison that houses the members of the Suicide Squad.

This steelbook looks like a great item for your shelves, but it is limited to only one location.

If you're not located in the United Kingdom, you aren't able to order the item through their site. While it may become available through a third party in the future, you may just need to call up a friend in Manchester if you're dying for a copy.

Suicide Squad will be released digitally on November 15, and the Blu-Ray on December 5 or 13, depending on your location.
