Sidekick is a beautiful and touching short film directed and written by Jeff Cassidy and starring Emily Bett Rickards (Arrow), Tom Cavanagh (The Flash), Josh Dallas (Once Upon a Time), and Christian Michael Cooper (Prison Break). It tells the story of a "struggling father who uses a bedtime story to impart an important life lesson to his son."

It begins with a distraught husband (Dallas) and wife (Rickards) driving home after receiving some bad news. Their son (Cooper), who is in the backseat playing with his action figures, hasn't been filled-in on what's troubling his folks but is noticeably concerned. After an uncomfortable family dinner, the wife tells husband that they should tell their son what's wrong, so when he puts his son to bed, the father delivers the bed news with a superhero-themed bedtime story. In it, the villainous Darkman (Cavanagh) abducts the princess (Rickards) and poisons Captain Strong (Dallas). When all seems lost, Strong's tiny and trusted sidekick, Shockwave, appears and saves the day.

The Flash is new Tuesdays at 8/7c on The CW, and available next day on The CW App! Arrow is new Wednesdays at 8/7c on The CW, and available next day on The CW App! Once Upon a Time airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
