This past week has been filled with so much new content from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, but you won't see fans complaining. The film marks the first stand-alone addition to the celebrated franchise, and has been highly anticipated since it's announcement.
Monday morning, USA Today released the first look at the new IMAX poster for Rogue One. The design is a slightly more modern take on the original poster for the film, which matches the modern feel of IMAX theaters. It's also the first poster with Galen Erso, lead character Jyn Erso's father and designer of the Death Star weapon on it. Galen is played by Mads Mikkelsen, who was also in Disney's last live-action film before Rogue One, Doctor Strange.
Here are the characters that appear on the new poster, clockwise from top left: Cassian Andor (Diego Luna), Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones), Saw Gerrera (Forest Whitaker), Galen Erso (Mads Mikkelsen), Chirrut Imwe (Donnie Yen), Baze Malbus (Jiang Wen), K-2SO (Alan Tudyk) and Bodhi Rook (Riz Ahmed).
The characters featured in the poster are arranged, along with some ships and structures, to outline and Imperial Star Destroyer.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits US theaters December 16, 2016. Directed by Gareth Edwards, it's the first of the new standalone features from Lucasfilm and Disney, which take place outside the core "Skywalker Saga" of films noted by an Episode number. Rogue One tells the story of the small band of rebels that were tasked with stealing the plans to the first Death Star. The story spins directly off the opening crawl from the original Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. In that crawl, it read: "Rebel spaceships, striking from a hidden base, have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire. During the battle, Rebel spies managed to steal secret plans to the Empire's ultimate weapon, the DEATH STAR, an armored space station with enough power to destroy an entire planet."
