While the Caped Crusader has gone through a series of different live-action adaptations, many regard the first franchise - which began with 1989's Batman - to be among the best. And now, a new piece of art from a fan-favorite comic artist as helped highlight the franchise's unique style.

Mark Simpson, best known by his pen name Jock, recently shared a sketch inspired by the 1992 film Batman Returns. The black and white drawing - which you can view below - shows Michael Keaton as the title character, along with Danny DeVito as The Penguin and Michelle Pfieffer as Catwoman.

Jock's contributions across the comic book genre are pretty significant. He got his start on fan-favorite series such as Judge Dredd, The Losers, and Green Arrow: Year One.

In recent years, Jock's unique art style has crossed over to the film world as well. He created concept art for films such as X-Men: Days of Future Past, Dredd, and the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi. He also helped design the award-winning 'Ava' robot in Ex Machina.

If you're hoping to snag this Batman Returns piece for yourself, it appears that it's already headed to a lucky recipient, who happens to also be another comic book artist. A look at the replies reveals that Jock created the piece for Rafael Albuquerque, artist on titles such as Blue Beetle, Batgirl, and the current run of All Star Batman.

Here's hoping this isn't the last Batman Returns-related art that Jock ends up doing, as his style certainly fits the film's unique aesthetic.
