Handheld gaming has changed so much over the years – it's crazy. A while back, we were used to the idea of playing on our Nintendo Game Boys and our Sega Game Gears, but nowadays we have a large array of tablets and smartphones to choose from, not to mention the PS Vita and Nintendo's line-up of 3DS and 2DS systems.

We take touch-screens for granted now, assuming that all screens are interactive. The little girl in the video above just can't seem to grasp the concept of a non-interactive screen, and we can't blame her.

A gamer by the name of Chris Cohoon recently posted a video on YouTube of his young daughter trying out a Game Boy Color system for the first time. Instead of using the traditional controls that we've come to expect from the Game Boy Color, the little girl tries to get things going by swiping her fingers across the screen. She plays with it for several seconds before Chris asks if she has it figured out, and she continues to tinker with it as she slowly walks away.

On the one hand, this is adorable, because any kids that get into video games usually are, as they bring a sense of curiosity and wonder the first time they try something out. But, also, it shows just how much mobile gaming has changed over the years. It used to be that we were so content on playing games with traditional controls – but these days, it's more about touch-screen controls.

Still, it's interesting to watch, and makes you wonder just how old we're feeling for owning the original Game Boy system. Yes, a lot of us still have them, and yes, we're still content playing Tetris on it without using swipe controls. It's just the way we were brought up. Heck, we feel like saying something like, "Back in my day…" (Did we just turn into Cranky Kong?!)

Thanks to Chris for sharing this video. It's just too cute.
