Life is Strange: Before the Storm Episode 2 Leaked

The second episode of Life is Strange: Before the Storm doesn't have too much longer before it's released, but several lucky players have received access to it early thanks to an Xbox leak.

Several Xbox One users noticed on Friday that the second episode for the cinematic game appeared on their console after updating the game and navigating to the "episodes" section. While Episode 2 shouldn't have been listed as an available option, the selection had options to purchase and install and led to players being able to receive it anyway. The episode only appears to be 5.6GB, so plenty of players were likely able to get it before anything could be done about it on Microsoft's end.

When the news of the Xbox leak inevitably made its way to online forums, the community manager for Life is Strange commented on a post and confirmed the leak while stating that they were looking into the issue.

"Thank you all for your patience while we continue to deal with this situation," the community manager said. "We are aware that some Xbox One users are able to access Episode 2 and we are continuing to investigate the situation and the official release date of the 19th October still stands.

The community manager went on to urge players to keep the spoilers under wraps so as not to ruin the game for others before its release this week.

"If you were one of the lucky ones who is able to access it, we ask that you please avoid posting any and all spoilers or information about the episode until the official release date on the 19th, when all platforms will be ready for release. We are working with our communities everywhere to try and ensure that spoilers are kept to a minimum until the 19th, but please do take care over the next few days."

As for those who were able to download the next episode, the community manager said that while he wishes everyone could've experienced it at the same time, it's also heartening to see players eager to get the next episode.

Life is Strange: Before the Storm Episode 2 officially releases on all platforms on Oct. 19.
