Arrow might currently be on midseason hiatus, but a new set video could tease a pretty interesting altercation that's to come.

Canadagraphs recently shared video of an Arrow scene that filmed earlier this month. In it, Laurel Lance/Black Siren (Katie Cassidy) is shown following behind Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne), who is talking to someone or something on his phone. Laurel then stops in her tracks, before hiding in a nearby doorway.

What's most interesting about this video is the fact that Laurel is walking around in broad daylight in normal street clothes, as opposed to her Black Siren outfit or some sort of other disguise. This is a conundrum that Arrow fans have been waiting to see for a while, seeing as Laurel's Earth-1 doppelganger was a pretty notable figure in Star City.

"She looks exactly like Laurel Lance, she is Laurel Lance," co-star Stephen Amell pointed out earlier this year. "Laurel Lance is the most famous dead person in Star City, so eventually, at some point, if she is reintroduced into public life, how do we unpack that? I'm excited for that. That's the dynamic I think could be interesting."

Depending on exactly why Laurel is stalking Lance, this scene could have a whole other layer to it as well. Arrow's midseason finale saw the pair's dynamic reach a new point, after Laurel kidnapped Lance as leverage against Team Arrow. In the process, the two bonded over their shared rituals for Laurel's birthday, despite the fact that they hailed from different Earths.

Laurel then spared Lance's life later in the episode, leading some to believe that she is on her way to a redemption arc. And according to Arrow EP Wendy Mericle, it certainly could be likely.

"I don't know if there's any question about whether or not the [idea] of redemption will come up; it has to," executive producer Wendy Mericle said earlier this year. "Her father is there. Oliver is there. Everyone is going to be asking whether or not it's possible to find a little piece of Laurel, the Laurel Lance they knew and loved, in there somewhere."

Arrow returns from midseason hiatus on January 18th, 2018.
