First Official Photo Of Elektra In Daredevil Season 2

Netflix has released the first official photo of Élodie Yung as Elektra in Season 2 of Daredevil.

The photo shows Elektra presumably on her downtime, without the ninja outfit or her sai daggers, but she doesn't need either of those things to complicate Matt Murdock's life.

"Matt's a deeply moral complicated guy and she's just the best bad girlfriend you can possibly have," showrunner Doug Petrie tells EW. "She does everything wrong and attractive, she's his id, the wild side. Matt is always taming his wild side. Elektra just lets it out. He's both repulsed and deeply drawn to that."

Matt and Elektra's complicated relationship was hinted at in Daredevil's first season, during a flashback to Foggy and Matt's law school days, during which Foggy asks Matt about a certain Greek girl he had been seeing.

The first photo of Elektra follows the first photo of Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, released earlier today.

Daredevil Season 2 comes to Netflix in 2016.
