A new piece of visual art is now available online for Overlord: The Dark Warrior, the second part of the two-part theatrical anime film coming this year.

The film is based on the series of light novels by Kugane Maruyama, and the image represents the beautiful dark fantasy feel of the series perfectly.

The manga was first adapted for as an anime in 2015 and licensed for streaming by Funimation, who describes the series below:

From the studio that brought you Death Parade, Parasyte, and No Game No Life comes a series that takes place in the world of Yggdrasil, an MMORPG that's scheduled to be shut down permanently. With no family or friends outside the game, veteran player Momonga refuses to log out. As the servers go dark, he discovers that the world inside the game continues to change as NPCs begin to develop personalities and minds of their own. With a new world at his fingertips, Momonga decides to use his power and skill to take control of Yggdrasil and become its overlord.

The Overlord 2 part film is directed by Naoyuki Ito, who did things such as the Digimon and One Piece specials. The films also feature animation by Madhouse the company responsible for popular animes such as Hunter x Hunter, and contributing animation to major Studio Ghibli films such as Spirited Away, and My Neighbor Totoro.

The first part of the duology, The Undead King, hits Japanese theaters on February 25, 2017. The second part, The Dark Warrior, is set to release on March 11, 2017.
