Gundam is one of the biggest franchises of all time, so it's not wonder there are reports of new content spawning ever season. Now the popular television series, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans is coming to an end, there was hints that it will not be the end. One of the voice actors ended the special for the anime with quote that has had Gundam fans buzzing online, "See you in the movie version!".

As it may seem wishful thinking that the hinted "movie" will be brand new content, it sees that fans will be getting more Iron-Blooded Orphans action. Many fans believe that this mysterious movie will just be a compilation movie as that seems to be the standard with many series from the Gundam franchise. Regardless since the movie has not been officially announced, it is unknown if it will be original content or a recap film.

The first season of the television series, Iron-Blooded Orphans, ran for 25 episodes, first premiering in Japan in October of 2015. The show was streamed by Hulu, Daisuki, and Gundam.info, as it aired. The American streaming services Crunchyroll and Funimation streamed the new episodes of the show one week after they aired in Japan. The show was also picked up on the popular Adult Swim's Toonami block, with an English dub last June. Daisuki and Crunchyroll streamed the second season which began in October and ran until this past April.

If you are unfamiliar with Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, The series is set more than 300 years after the Calamity War first seen in the original Mobile Suit Gundam anime. With the Earth Sphere falling into anarchy, the world has given way to bandits and rebels. Iron-Blooded Orphans focuses on a young boy named Mikazuki Augus as he works for a security company, and his is used as cannon fodder during an ambush. Augus, along with his friend Orga Itsuka, take the chance to revolt against their demeaning employers - and the determined boy changes his fate when he begins piloting an abandoned mobile suit known as Gundam Barbatos.
