The Japanese website Daisuki was initially founded in 2013 by Asatsu-DK, Toei Animation, Aniplex, Sunrise, TMS Entertainment, Nihon Ad Systems and Dentsu, with the service now being managed by the Anime Consortium Japan (Bandai Namco).

Manga Tokyo has reported that Daisuki’s iOS and Android apps will be removed from the app store on October 2nd, 2017, with their social accounts not closing until the 15th of December, 2017.
