Dragon Ball Super is no stranger to Toonami, but the anime didn't get to experience the program in its heyday. The anime block made its debut back in 1997, and fans still look upon the program with all kinds of nostalgic love. And, now, one fan have given Dragon Ball Super the perfect mash-up with Toonami's old-school intros.

Over on Youtube, Kool Keith Productions has fans grinning ear-to-ear over its latest post. The channel shared a new video recently which re-imagines the 'Future Trunks' saga from Dragon Ball Super and gives it an old-school preview.

The video, which can be seen above, will strike nostalgic fans first for its music. The muted background tune is one which Toonami used for its episode previews and bumpers. The footage starts off with Goku Black powering up on Earth, and things get wild from there. Future Trunks is shown going Super Saiyan, Goku gives Zamasu one well-timed punch to the face, and Vegito's entrance at the end is enough to make any Dragon Ball guru break out a grin.

It has been quite awhile since fans have gotten any Toonami previews like this, and it seems they would not mind seeing more of them. The nostalgic power presented by this fan-video is almost as powerful as a Spirit Bomb, and fans are more than happy to take the blow if it means reliving a bit of their late-90s childhoods.

Dragon Ball Super's "Universal Survival" saga is part of the recent simulcast agreement that sites like Crunchyroll and Funimation have scored. Dragon Ball Super airs on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. CST. Toonami airs the English dub on Adult Swim Saturdays at 11:30 p.m.
