Super Powers You Didn't Know Goku Had
For decades, Goku has proven to the Dragon Ball faithful, as well as the rest of the world, that [...]
Copy Cat
This first ability is probably Goku's most powerful, and it's basically the reason he has a lot of his powers in the first place.
Goku can watch any move or technique one time and replicate it with ease after that. Mimicry is an art form for Goku, as he can learn how to do anything he sees an opponent do in battle.
The ability to mimic new abilities give Goku the upper-hand in just about any fight.
prevnextTelepathy
Like Charles Xavier, Goku is able to get into the minds of most beings he comes into contact with.
This power is seemingly limitless, as it has allowed the hero to command the powers of others, speak to his allies through his mind, read the thoughts of those around him, and even keep other characters away from certain death.
Goku's telepathy has gotten him out of a few scary situations over the years.
prevnextKi-Free Flight
A lot of characters in the Dragon Ball universe can actually harness the ability to fly by harnessing ki energy. Goku however, is one of the only characters who can fly without it.
Goku can spin his tail and an incredible speed, using it like a helicopter to lift him into the sky. From there, his incredible lung capacity allows him to breathe at the ground for an extended period of time, keeping him in the air.
prevnextRegeneration
A lot of characters can heal themselves in battle, but Goku takes things to a new level.
When in Super Saiyan form, Goku can actually regenerate parts of his body, even those that are vital to his existence.
Beerus ripped a hole through Goku's chest during Battle of Gods, sending the hero down into the depths of the sea. Once down there, Goku's wound healed itself and kept him alive.
prevnextHealing Others
In addition to healing himself, Goku can also transfer that power to other beings around him.
When in his Super Saiyan form, Goku can heal other characters. At times, he's even been known to resurrect them from the dead.
If you recall, this happened when Goku brought back Frieza after he was cut in half.
prevnextSuper-Smell
Goku's sight and hearing are more enhanced than just about every other being in the universe, but we tend to forget that he can also smell for miles.
While this powerful nose is often used merely as a way of Goku finding food, he's used it to his advantage on a couple of occasions. Early on in Dragon Ball, Goku used this ability to win one of Master Roshi's challenges, finding a specific rock in the middle of a jungle.
prevnextShield Generation
Goku has mimicked a lot of abilities over the years, but the ability to generate his own shield isn't one of them.
The Saiyan was the first in Dragon Ball history to organically create a force field, which he made by channelling his ki energy.
This ability is strong, but it's only been used by Goku on a couple of occasions.
prevnextTelekinesis
Goku can move entire chunks of land with nothing but his mind, which would be an incredible ability in any other universe.
Unfortunately, Goku isn't the only character in the telekinetic club, as plenty of other fighters in Dragon Ball have also mastered the same art.
Since it's much more common, we haven't seen Goku use it very often.
prevnextEye Blasting
This is perhaps the most lethal of all Goku's abilities.
The Saiyan is one of many fighters who can use the attack alongside Shin and even Piccolo. Frieza has used the Ki attack before to destroy mountains, but Goku has refrained from doing actual damage with the attack.
Goku most notably used the ability to dig a grave for Vegeta after his death at the hands of Frieza.
