The Gods of Destruction have been the biggest addition to Dragon Ball lore, and their impact on the franchise moving forward is still being felt for sure.

But what if there were more of them than the 12 shown off in the series so far?

Dragon Ball Super illustrator Toyotaro took to Twitter and shared some sketches of some assorted Gods of Destruction that may or may not make it into the series proper.

The sketch depicts three different cat gods, which would make the final count of five cats in the Gods of Destruction should these be introduced into the series. But reading Toyotaro's tweet, this probably will not be the case. The full caption for Toyotaro's tweet reads, "Doodling Gods of Destruction. There aren't actually any Gods of Destruction like this."

Toyotaro was most likely just working out some ideas he had in his head, and getting some designs out that were swirling around in there. But if the latest round-up of spoilers are any indication, Super may see a new God of Destruction sooner than not. It won't be a new character either, but someone already in the series.

The series is teasing some sort of new power for Toppo, which is surprising considering the amount of attention Jiren has been getting for his power. Fans assumed that the warrior stronger than a God of Destruction was describing Jiren, but it could just mean Toppo.

There is also currently a new Dragon Ball film in the works for 2018. The film will focus on the Saiyans, the "origins of Goku's power," and potentially the story of the very first Super Saiyan God.Not only does it aim to be the best film in the series, original creator Akira Toriyama will be contributing to the film's script and new character designs.

Dragon Ball Super airs on Crunchyroll Saturday evenings at 7:15 p.m. CST. Adult Swim airs the English dub during its Toonami block Saturday evenings at 9:30 p.m, and is now available to stream on FunimationNOW and Amazon Video.

The 39 episodes span the full range of what has aired in the North America and covers the "Battle of Gods" arc, "Revival of F" arc, and the most recently ended "Universe 6" arc.
