If you thought The Seven Deadly Sins was too cool to be cute, then think again. The franchise has announced a collaboration with Sanrio, and its shonen heroes are getting one chibi makeover.

So, cue those adorable fangirl screams now!

Recently, Sanrio teased its upcoming line with The Seven Deadly Sins on Twitter. The company is partnering with the series in celebration of the anime's most recent anime, Revival of the Ten Commandments (via ANN). So, Meliodas gets the spotlight as he joins Gudetama on the floor.

As you can see above, the advert shows Meliodas sprawled on the ground with his buddy Hawk right beside him. The pair are joined by Gudetama who looks as sallow as usual, and the tagline just above Meliodas' head perfectly sums up the image.

"Fight in a pain," the line reads, and yeah - it's right. After so much fighting, the leader of the Seven Deadly Sins deserves a break, and Gudetama knows a thing or two about being sedentary.

Right now, details about the Sanrio collection are being kept quiet. The collaboration will go live this June and include items like apparel and stationary.

Of course, anime fans will know this isn't the first anime mash-up Sanrio has volunteered for. In the past, the company has done crossover with Fullmetal Alchemist and Fate/Grand Order to hype those franchises' respective releases.

So, if you really want to see Hello Kitty go Super Saiyan, you better start tweeting the brand. The collaboration may not be as crazy as you'd think...

For those unfamiliar with The Seven Deadly Sins, the series was created by Nakaba Suzuki. It follows the story of Elizabeth, third princess of a kingdom that has been taking over by the Holy Knights after staging a coup. She leaves in search of The Seven Deadly Sins, a group of knights who had defended the kingdom ten years ago who had disbanded after they were blamed for plotting against the kingdom. Though the Holy Knights had said the Seven Sins had been slain, Elizabeth eventually meets their leader Meliodas.
