These first seasons are the English dub releases of each series. Dragon Ball Super's first season runs for 13 episodes, and gets fans through the Battle of Gods arc. There's a bit more meat being offered for Dragon Ball Z, however, as the first season encompasses 39 episodes overall which gets fans to the start of the Namek arc. This could be a perfect and free way to scratch that Dragon Ball itch.
