Eagle One Media and CAPCOM are producing a line of animated comic DVDs based on the popular video game Street Fighter. In the DVD series, the Street Fighter comics that were published by Udon Studios will be utilized and presented as a direct adaptation. In the Street Fighter universe, fighters battle for supremacy. The fighters perform superhuman acts while participating in the Street Fighter Tournament, which is a contest hosted by M. Bison, who is the sadistic dictator and leader of the underground Shadaloo criminal organization. The animated comic DVD series features actual artwork and story content from the Udon Studios comic book series with animation, motion-style techniques, character voice-over, music, and special effects to enhance the story. Each DVD will have a run time of sixty-five to eighty minutes. The DVDs will be sold at DVD stores and online retailers. While the initial Street Fighter animated comic DVD entitled "Street Fighter: Round One – FIGHT!" will not be released until February 3, 2009, fans can get a sneak preview now. Eagle One Media and CAPCOM have released a little over the first four minutes of the DVD for free viewing. "Street Fighter: Round One - FIGHT!" features Ryu and Ken investigating the murder of their martial arts master. Their quest takes them to Japan, where Ryu is watched closely by M. Bison and his minions including Cammy, Vega, and Sagat. This catches the attention of Hong Kong Interpol agent Chun-Li and US Special Ops officer Guile, who each have grudges against the evil Shadaloo syndicate. The Street Fighter IV video game is scheduled to be released on February 17, 2009, and the live action motion picture Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li is scheduled to be released in theaters on February 27, 2009.
